Chat Zones

You can go to weird and wonderful places when you join MXit Chatrooms!  Join Dark Mountain or Galactica, chat to your fellow teens in Planet Teen or Teen Island.  You can also hook up with your neighbours by joining the chatroom for your city or region.  Go check it out - there are plenty more rooms for you to explore.

To add a Chat Zone, go to Tradepost  > select Chat Zones > and then click. Go crazy chatting about Sports, Music, Fashion in these Zones, with other MXit users from around the globe. In the Geographical Zone buy a cappuccino for a pal in the Italy Zone, or chat to the peeps in the Japan, Australia, Italy or UK Zones to name but a few.   

For a list of chatroom commands type ‘.help’, or use the ‘.ignore’ function when someone is bothering you! The ‘.rat’ command comes in handy when the experience becomes unpleasant. By using this command, you will be reporting this user to a Global moderator, who could take the steps of banning this user from MXit.

You have to be 14 years or older to access the Chat Zones – and remember giving out your personal information online is so-not-cool! Being street smart is about not giving out your details, even your e-mail address, or the name of your school – so be smart online
